This hostel is the first established hostel of Uttaranchal Daivi Aapda Peedit Sahayata Samiti, which has been providing education with residential facilities to the destitute children of October 1991 earthquake victims, children of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and economically backward families. At present 45 students from 42 remote hilly villages are being provided accommodation, food and education at very low fees. This hostel is situated in Maneri village on Gangotri road, 15 km away from Uttarkashi. From inception to present, approximately 1250 students have been benefited.
This hostel is being operated since 2005.
In this hostel, 57 students from 33 villages of remote tehsil Mori, Purola, Barkot, Bhatwadi of Uttarkashi district are currently receiving education from class 06 to class 10 in residential facility. Some students are also studying in Government Inter College, Uttarkashi. Some students from Lambgaon belt of Tehri Garhwal
district are also getting education while staying in this hostel. The hostel and Vidya Mandir are located in the same complex. Every year the students of this hostel and Vidya Mandir are getting merit position in Uttarakhand Board Examination. From inception to present, approximately 675 students have been benefited.
188 km away from the capital Dehradun, situated in the far north-west of Uttarkashi district, 12 km ahead of the headquarters of Mori tehsil, bordering Himachal Pradesh, on the Harkidoon road, situated at the confluence of Rupind and Supind, two perennial tributaries of Tons river. This service project is located near Naitawar village. 30 students from very remote hilly villages are currently studying from class 6 to class 8 in this hostel at very nominal fees along with residential facilities, food etc. This service project has been operating since 2005. About 262 students have benefited from Natwar Hostel since its inception till present.
Sridev Suman Hostel, located in Koti Colony of district Tehri Garhwal, was established in June 2013 for the children rendered destitute due to the terrible disaster in Kedarnath. Initially, arrangements for accommodation, food and education were made for 40 destitute students in the hostel. Presently 35 students are studying in this hostel. Some students were shifted to Baba Kedar Hostel operated in Guptkashi due to construction of a new hostel in Kedar Valley. The number ofstudents in the hostel is continuously increasing. Around 378 students have benefited from the hostel since its inception till date.
This hostel was established in June 2013, arrangements for accommodation, food and education were made for the destitute children of the valley in the hostel.
Initially, due to the hostel building being small, most of the students were accommodated in Sridev Suman Hostel, Koti Colony, New Tehri. Hostel arrangement for 32 students was made in Guptkashi only.Presently 31 students are studying in the hostel. Today the committee is also fulfilling all kinds of needs free of cost. A new
hostel building has been constructed by the committee for all the destitute, poor, orphan, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe children of Kedar Valley. In which a new hostel building has been constructed from the point of view of education, medical, values and self-reliance.
